Meet Y{our} Board of Directors – Edward Lee

Edward Lee, BSN, BS, RN

Edward started his career in healthcare as an ER tech in 2002 after completing his CNA in his high school Health Sciences Program. Edward attended Texas A&M University where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Poultry Science. While attending A&M he became a member of the on campus student run EMS service. He volunteers as a 911 Dispatcher and became Captain of Communications. He relocated Virginia after graduation where he worked for Cargill Meat Solutions as an Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor. While there, he obtained his EMT-Basic certification and volunteered with the local Rescue Squad. He moved back to Texas and obtained his BSN from Texas Women’s University in 2011and began his nursing career with Baylor University Medical Center in the ER. In 2012, Mr. Lee joined ER at Alliance and began his career with HCA. He moved to The Medical Center of Plano ER as a staff nurse, back up charge RN, and then moved to help open The Medical Center of Plano Freestanding ER. In 2014, he applied to, and was selected for the HCA ER/OR Director Development Program, and was placed at Medical City McKinney as an Associate Director. Since graduating the program, Mr. Lee was promoted from Associate Director to Director of Emergency Services. Mr. Lee has been able to build upon his team and has continued to maintain some of the highest ED satisfaction scores, consistently in the top 20 of HCA. He has also been able to strengthen the team and maintain employee satisfaction in the 81st percentile ranking. Edward believes in furthering his education, is currently enrolled for his MBA.
