Anna {Your} Hometown

Anna, Texas is a fast growing community located along U.S. Hwy. 75 and State Hwy 5 just north of McKinney in Collin County.

Anna sprang to life in the mid-1800’s with the arrival of pioneers staking their claim to a better life along the railroad and the Texas high plains.  By 1890, the town had a population of 100 to 200. In the mid-1980’s Anna had 855 residents, several businesses, and a strong sense of community that is still alive today.

Anna has grown into a vibrant community, now home to almost 11,000 residents. Despite the rapid growth, Anna has managed to hold true to its small town values and friendly atmosphere. Anna is home to an outstanding school district, beautiful parks, affordable housing, retail shops and services, restaurants, a full service grocery store, doctors, and many other conveniences.

The future of Anna includes a master planned parks system with a pedestrian and bike trail that will connect all parts of the city. So come along, and we’ll tell you more about why we’re proud to call Anna our hometown – and why you should too.
